Candidates seeking to become professors must first get their bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any field (ideally in the subject they wish to teach or specialize in), with a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 45% or equivalent. After graduating, they are required to pursue a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum overall score of 50%. Although it is not a requirement, several universities hire individuals for the position of professor who have passed the NET and GMAT. For a career free of bother, it is advised that students obtain a PhD in a relevant field.


  • Associate Professor Requirements

Candidates seeking to become Assistant Professors must first earn their bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline (preferably the subject they wish to teach or specialize in), with a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 45% or equivalent. After graduating, they are required to pursue an advanced degree in an appropriate field with an overall minimum score of 50%. Although it is not a requirement, several universities hire applicants for the position of assistant professor who have passed the NET and GMAT. For a career free of bother, it is advised that students obtain a PhD in a relevant field.
