Learning, on the other hand, is inward-focused, occurring within the individual learner. It is a self-directed journey in which learners take control of their learning and attempt to make sense of what they are learning.

Teachers are responsible for providing guidance, creating learning opportunities, and assessing the progress of learners on their educational journey. Whereas, learning is performed by the learners in order to seek knowledge, ask questions, and explore ideas.

Teachers are accountable for imparting knowledge, skills, or instructions, while learners are responsible for applying the knowledge acquired through teaching.

Teachers hold higher authority than students since they are specialists in their field.

A teacher needs students to impart knowledge or share subject expertise with, however, a student/learner can acquire knowledge without a teacher using various learning approaches.

A teacher usually possesses a number of skills to perform instructing students on various teaching materials. On the other hand, learners are not an expert, they are gaining proficiency through acquiring knowledge.

A teacher can provide feedback on students’ performance. Whereas, learners act upon the feedback received from teachers.

Teaching is a continuous process that never stops inspiring learners even after the person is dead. Whereas, learning gets ended when a person is dead.
